Why Irish Wool?

Wool is a natural fibre, that has been used for centuries here in Ireland. Most notably Ireland is know for producing superior quality yarn, tweed, aran sweaters and socks from our wool. 


Safety:

There are a lot of advantages for choosing wool, it’s offers very high UV protection compared to cotton and most synthetics while also being naturally fire retardant. 

Sustainability:

Wool is biodegradable and natural breaks down when disposed of. It’s also a renewable material due to the fact that sheep produce a new fleece yearly. Woolgrowers actively care for their natural resources and the sheep are allowed to roam freely in the land which results in a more natural and environmentally friendly production method.

Quality:

Wool is know for its breathability, its natural ability to absorb moisture and / or sweat from the skin. It also reacts to your body temperature and can keep you warm if cold or can also cool you if you find yourself warm. Also known for its durability and naturally elasticity, which creates a  lovely fit for the wearer that stays looking good for much longer. Almost forgot, it’s natural layer prevents stains from being absorbed, what a material!
