Correct Walking Stick Length

We often get asked how long a walking stick should be so we've created this guide on how to measure the walking stick user.

1. The walking stick user should stand upright in their walking shoes and allow their arms to hang naturally by their side.
   
   
2. Ask a friend to measure from the ground to the wrist bone (The small, round bump on the outside of your wrist) and round up to the nearest half inch or centimetre.

Estimate walking stick length if user not present.

Please not this is not 100% accurate but does work for most cane users.

1. Convert the users height into inches, divide in two and add one inch. 

For example:
- 5’8’’ is 68 inches
- Divide in two which equals 34 inches
- Add one inch, which equals 35 inches
Estimated cane length is 35 inches
